A born-and-raised Edmontonian, Jamil graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Saskatchewan in 2008 and subsequently completed a 12-month hospital pharmacy practice residency with Alberta Health Services (AHS) in Calgary. After moving back to his hometown in 2009, Jamil practiced in adult psychiatry and general medicine with AHS before joining the Primary Care Networks in 2011.
In addition to his IKTN responsibilities, Jamil is a Pharmacy Technician Instructor with CDI College and is currently completing his Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Alberta. Jamil is a Certified Tobacco Educator with the Canadian Network of Respiratory Care, and serves as a Health Promotion Facilitator with AHS’ Tobacco Reduction Program.
Jamil maintains a work-life balance by Yelp-ing his way through Edmonton’s thriving food scene, attempting to build his tolerance for a 30-day hot yoga challenge, and an active involvement in quality of life initiatives with his faith-based community.
