The Integrated Knowledge Translation Network is an exciting collaboration between the Evidence Based Medicine Program, Department of Family Medicine, Lifelong Learning Portfolio and Towards Optimized Practice at the University of Alberta. This innovative initiative involves a number of core groups, including the PEER team, Lifelong Learning Portfolio (University of Alberta), Toward Optimized Practice (of the AMA), Physician Learning Program, Choosing Wisely Alberta and other relevant key groups (such as the Chronic Disease Management Committee).
The goals of the IKTN are to:
- Develop high-quality guidelines and pathways for primary care providers in Alberta,
- Coordinate, develop, and support evidence-based online learning modules and tools for lifelong learning,
- Coordinate and develop evidence-based core medical content for best practice support visits.
More information about the IKTN is available on the Lifelong Learning website.
